School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Warren, Michigan
An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students in an ASD resource room setting. This contract position is ideal for SLPs seeking to make a positive impact by helping students with unique communication needs. You'll work closely with a manageable caseload of 12 students and contribute to a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Holds a current Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility)
- Completed or in the process of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or has CCC credential
- Experience or interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Understanding of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and familiarity with best practices for supporting students in resource rooms
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Accurately document therapy sessions and participate in IEP meetings
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Offer professional insight on communication strategies for ASD
- Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress
