This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work on-site throughout the academic year, collaborating with school staff to help students reach their communication goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic assessments, interventions, and therapy for a diverse K-12 caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate records, assessments, and progress notes as required
- Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff for integrated student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to educational planning
- Deliver direct therapy sessions and support generalization of strategies in the classroom
- Serve as a resource for families, offering guidance and educational materials
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Current Michigan state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly valued
- Ability to work on-site (remote/virtual therapy is not accepted for this assignment)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
