Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for New York State
- Eligible for (or current possession of) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Passion for working with children and adolescents in an academic environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt approaches to meet the varied needs of students
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations in accordance with IEPs and school policies
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapy plans
- Document progress, prepare reports, and maintain organized records in line with state and federal requirements
- Deliver training and support to teachers, staff, and families related to student speech-language needs
- Contribute to IEP meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
