Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Valid SLP license or the ability to obtain one in Indiana
- Experience or strong interest in K-12 school caseloads
- Confidence in supervising SLPA staff and supporting their professional growth
Role Highlights:
- Serve three local schools, including Kingsford Heights Elementary as a supervising SLP for a full-time SLPA (handle evaluations, IEPs, and provide 20% of supervising service time virtually, rest on-site)
- Manage a diverse caseload: 18 students at LaPorte Middle, splitting duties with two additional SLPs, and 43 students at LaPorte High School
- Participate in a 3:1 service delivery model—provide direct services for three weeks, then use every fourth “Flex Week” for evaluations, assessments, IEP development, Medicaid billing, and case conferencing
- Focus solely on in-person services to foster greater student communication development and staff collaboration
