Speech-Language Pathologist in Port Saint Lucie, FL
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Port Saint Lucie, FL, serving the Southeast Florida Coast region. This contract position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) for the 2026-2027 school year, from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Assignments will include working within 1-2 schools depending on placement, supporting students in the school district with speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student success
- Maintain required documentation and compliance with school district policies
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in good standing
- Certificate of Clinical Competence – SLP (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CF-SLP) may be considered with appropriate supervision arrangements
- Experience in school-based settings preferred but not required
- Ability to complete fingerprinting requirements (possibility of verification through Department of Health records)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
