Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 26-26 school year, just outside Upper Fairmount, MD. This role centers on a K-12 caseload, allowing you to work across diverse age groups and make a meaningful impact on student communication, social interaction, and academic progress. Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP licensure in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Experience or interest in both elementary and secondary school settings
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement speech/language therapy interventions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students, individually and in groups
- Assess and document student communication abilities and challenges
- Develop, implement, and review IEP goals in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team
- Collaborate with educators to support classroom success and integrate therapy recommendations
- Maintain organized records and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage in parent meetings and communicate student progress regularly
