School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - University Park, Pennsylvania
Make an impact as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students across three schools, serving a wide variety of grade levels from kindergarten through high school. You'll collaborate with educators and families to help students achieve their communication goals, providing direct therapy and contributing your expertise to a welcoming and student-focused environment.
Your caseload will be thoughtfully balanced between elementary, middle, and high school campuses. You'll provide a combination of 16 individual and 37 group sessions each week, totaling 55 thirty-minute treatments. This is a full-time, 35-hour per week position designed for professionals who thrive in an educational setting and are passionate about making a difference in young lives.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Hold a current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
- Possess an active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Certificate (CCC preferred)
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting children with diverse speech and language needs
What You'll Do:
- Manage and deliver speech-language services to students across three buildings (elementary, middle, high school)
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in a K-12 student population
- Develop and implement individualized and group therapy plans
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Engage with families and school staff to ensure coordinated support for students
Pay for this assignment ranges from $100 to $120 per hour, ensuring your expertise is valued.
