You’ll work closely with a dedicated educational team at a local high school, providing both direct and indirect AT support.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (with hours logged)
- Strong background in school-based SLP services
- Experience supporting augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), specifically eye gaze technology (Accent device familiarity highly desired)
- Ability to program, calibrate, and maintain AAC devices
- Passion for collaborative work with teachers and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person, direct speech therapy services using eye gaze technology to one student
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and update the Accent device to ensure optimal function
- Educate and consult with the student’s educational team on device use, programming, and best practices
- Document sessions and progress consistently in accordance with school guidelines
- Contribute technical support for programming, calibration, and device maintenance
