Start as soon as possible and continue through May 26, 2027, providing specialized services at Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, TX. This opportunity requires a commitment of 2 hours per week, making it ideal for those seeking flexible supplemental work or a focused impact within a school setting. While some consultation and team support may be provided remotely, direct services for the student must be conducted in-person.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (with verified hours, if applicable).
- Recent references available for review.
- Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), specifically eye gaze technology and Accent devices—programming, calibration, and maintenance.
- Prior K-12 or high school SLP experience strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted direct sessions for a high school student using an Accent device with eye gaze.
- Collaborate with the student’s educational team, offering indirect support and training as needed.
- Program, calibrate, and maintain AAC equipment.
- Document services and maintain compliance with district and state standards.
