School Speech Language Pathologist - Uniontown, PA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This position supports students across Washington and Greene Counties, with training dates on August 13th, 14th, and 17th at the McMurray Campus. Following training, the work schedule will be full time, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3 PM, as students return on August 20th.
The role involves travel between several locations each week: spend half a day at Bethlehem-Center Elementary in Fredericktown, two days at Fort Cherry Elementary in McDonald, and two days in Waynesburg. To ensure seamless service delivery, please confirm you are comfortable with the commute to all designated sites.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC licensure required
- Valid Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting is preferred
- Ability to adapt speech and language interventions to various school environments
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators and support staff
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, serving students with varied needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in assigned schools
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct assessments and maintain documentation to support student progress
- Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development
- Communicate effectively with families, educators, and district staff
- Travel between assigned campuses as scheduled
