Overview
ProCare Therapy is seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologists for school-based opportunities in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This position offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available depending on the candidate’s preference and school placement needs.
There is a full-time middle school caseload available, as well as three part-time elementary school positions located at different schools within the district. Each elementary position is approximately 20 hours per week, and candidates may have the option to combine two elementary school assignments to create a full-time schedule.
This is a great opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working in a school setting, supporting students through direct services, screenings, evaluations, and collaboration with school teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a school-based setting
- Conduct language, speech, and hearing screenings
- Complete evaluations and assessments as needed
- Develop and implement IEP goals based on student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in groups
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
Schedule
- Dates: ASAP – May 21, 2026
- Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time options available
- Middle School: Full-time caseload
- Elementary School: Three part-time openings at different schools
- Part-Time Hours: Each elementary position is approximately 20 hours per week
- Full-Time Option: Two elementary schools may be paired together to create a full-time schedule
Qualifications
- Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist License required
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong evaluation, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with school teams and families
- Comfortable providing screenings, assessments, and direct therapy services
