Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid New York state license as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school or youth-focused setting
- Strong organizational skills for effective case management and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for building relationships with students, parents, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high school caseload, delivering individualized direct therapy and consulting on indirect support strategies
- Maintain accurate progress tracking, documentation, and compliance with educational standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized education plans
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ communication needs
