Speech Language Pathologist in Toms River, NJ
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing expert speech and language services to elementary students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience with school-aged populations, especially elementary students, preferred
- Understanding of best practices for articulation and language intervention
- Strong collaborative skills to partner with educators and families
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and document individual and group therapy sessions for resource students, targeting articulation and language goals
- Assess speech and language abilities through standardized and informal tools
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and parent conferences
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Provide resources and strategies for teachers and caregivers to support carryover of skills
