Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid state licensure and credentials for speech pathology in California
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student’s needs
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions in individual and group settings
- Provide consultative support to teachers and staff to enhance classroom communication strategies
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Engage families and caregivers in the therapy process, offering guidance and resources
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
