This contract position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through December 2026, covering a maternity leave, with potential for extension. You’ll collaborate with other dedicated clinicians and work with a unique caseload in medically fragile classrooms, providing essential speech therapy services.
What you bring:
- Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience in a school setting, preferably supporting elementary-aged children
- Proven expertise working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Compassionate approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and school teams
- Comfort supporting students with complex medical and communication needs
- Organized, flexible, and solution-oriented
What you’ll do:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students in three medically fragile classrooms
- Conduct assessments, create IEP goals, and regularly monitor student progress
- Collaborate with an additional SLP and SLPA on-site to coordinate care plans and interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and consultations
- Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize communication outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet all compliance standards
