Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year! This contract position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through December 2026, covering a maternity leave, with potential for extension. You’ll collaborate with other dedicated clinicians and work with a unique caseload in medically fragile classrooms, providing essential speech therapy services.

What you bring:

  • Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Prior experience in a school setting, preferably supporting elementary-aged children
  • Proven expertise working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Compassionate approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and school teams
  • Comfort supporting students with complex medical and communication needs
  • Organized, flexible, and solution-oriented

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students in three medically fragile classrooms
  • Conduct assessments, create IEP goals, and regularly monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with an additional SLP and SLPA on-site to coordinate care plans and interventions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and consultations
  • Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to maximize communication outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet all compliance standards
