Position Overview
The Virtual SLP will provide speech and language services to students through a secure online platform while collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to help students reach their communication goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual speech-language therapy services to students
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff
- Attend virtual IEP meetings and required school meetings
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Requirements: To meet school district requirements, applicants must:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist license/certification
- Possess ASHA CCCs (preferred or required depending on district)
- Pass required background checks and fingerprint clearance
- Have reliable internet access and a professional remote workspace
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills
- Be comfortable providing therapy through virtual platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous school-based experience
- Experience providing teletherapy services minimum 2 years
- Familiarity with virtual therapy tools and online documentation systems
- Strong ability to engage students in a virtual setting
