We are seeking a dedicated, fun and tech-savvy (SLP) for a virtual school-based role supporting students across Minnesota. Provide life-changing speech and language therapy entirely from home using a secure online platform. Help Minnesota students meet their educational goals while enjoying the flexibility of a remote schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Therapy Delivery: Provide engaging, interactive individual and group speech therapy sessions via a secure virtual platform.
- Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive virtual speech and language assessments and screenings.
- IEP Management: Develop, manage, and implement student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using Minnesota state special education standards and reporting systems (e.g., SPED Forms).
- Collaboration: Partner virtually with on-site educators, special education staff, parents, and school administrators.
- Documentation: Complete timely, accurate progress notes, evaluation reports, and third-party Medicaid reimbursement documentation as required by the district
Required Qualifications & Minnesota Credentials:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an ASHA-accredited university.
- Certification: Hold the active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- State Licensure: Hold or be eligible for an active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
- School Certification: Must hold or be eligible for a professional teaching license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Background Check: Ability to pass Minnesota state fingerprinting and a criminal history background check.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of full clinical experience, with prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Virtual & Technical Requirements:
- Technology: Own a reliable, modern computer (PC or Mac) upload/download).
- Environment: A quiet, private, and HIPAA/FERPA-compliant dedicated workspace free from background noise and interruptions.
- Tech Comfort: High comfort level navigating video conferencing tools (Zoom Pro, Microsoft Teams, or specialized therapy platforms) and digital evaluation toolkits.
- Support: Must pass a brief tech screening prior to start; clinical and technical platform training provided
