Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist | Michigan
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech services within a school setting in Spring Lake, MI. This position focuses on supporting a high school student enrolled in an alternative education program, with a primary goal to assist the student in completing graduation requirements.
Responsibilities include providing teletherapy sessions ranging from 15 to 40 minutes, one to four times per month, in alignment with the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). The student is scheduled for an IEP meeting on September 30 at 8:30 AM. The role involves working approximately 4 hours per week, tailored around the student’s needs and academic schedule, which includes earning 2.5 credits expected within the first trimester.
Qualifications and experience preferred for this role are:
- Hold a valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Previous experience with voco preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy and telespeech practices in school environments
- Ability to navigate IEP processes and contribute to goal-oriented treatment plans
- Comfort with itinerant responsibilities, including the potential for mileage reimbursement
The position requires compliance with district credentialing processes, including any necessary background checks and fingerprinting.
This contract role is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and continue until the student’s graduation, anticipated by December. The IEP system and contract review processes align with local education board requirements.
