Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - CA
A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) in a school setting located in Sonoma, CA. Work primarily with students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade, supporting a caseload of approximately 43 students across up to two school locations. While in-person service is preferred, teletherapy options such as telespeech and teletherapy are also considered.
Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, and supporting students' speech and language needs within an educational framework. The position provides supervision support (through personnel such as paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistants, or Licensed Practical Nurses) and requires adherence to district-specific procedures, including fingerprint clearance before beginning work.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid SLPA or SLP license appropriate for school or healthcare settings
- Experience with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery is advantageous
- Familiarity with school-based speech-language pathology, including work with CFY clinicians
- Ability to manage a caseload spanning early childhood through middle school students (TK-8)
- Comfort with both in-person and remote service delivery options
- Willingness to participate in virtual interviews and onboarding processes
This assignment has a flexible start date, ideally beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year. Interviews will be conducted remotely via video conference. The district does not provide training, so candidates should be prepared to work confidently within established protocols.
