A contract opportunity is available for licensed Speech Language Pathologists specializing in teletherapy services within an educational setting. This position is based in Gaithersburg, MD, supporting school-aged children through virtual speech therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver teletherapy speech-language pathology services to students ranging from elementary through middle school age.
- Manage caseloads thoughtfully, with assignments tailored according to individual comfort levels and skill sets under supervision.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and educational regulations.
- Engage in ongoing communication with supervisors to ensure best practices and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required.
- Experience or proficiency in telepractice speech therapy.
- Ability to work within Eastern Standard Time hours to coordinate virtual services.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
- Completion of required background checks and credentialing.
This contract role offers a 35-hour workweek during the academic calendar from late August through mid-June. Caseloads vary, accommodating up to 40 students in elementary settings and up to 57 at peak periods in middle school. Assignments are made with consideration of geographic location and candidate preferences.
