Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Intervention
- Conduct virtual evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in a remote setting
- Deliver direct teletherapy services and monitor student progress
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to adjust interventions and maximize outcomes
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Provide strategies and resources to promote skill carryover at home and in the classroom
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress, and IEP goals
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Complete evaluations, reports, and billing documentation as required
- Technology & Teletherapy
- Utilize virtual platforms and digital tools to deliver engaging therapy sessions
- Adapt instructional materials for an effective online learning environment
- Troubleshoot basic technology issues and assist families with platform navigation
- Advocacy & Education
- Support student access to appropriate communication services
- Educate families and school teams on speech and language development
- Advocate for student needs and effective communication strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
- Active Minnesota SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience (school-based and/or teletherapy experience preferred)
- Experience developing and managing IEPs
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Comfortable utilizing teletherapy platforms and educational technology
