A virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized teletherapy services supporting students with truancy challenges. This contract role serves older children and adolescents up to age 21 at a partial-day school focused on addressing attendance barriers through tailored interventions.
Location: Virtual support for students based in Ohio
Contract Position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver virtual speech-language therapy to students with diverse communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide therapy minutes in varying increments (60, 80, and 90 minutes) tailored to each student's schedule and the partial-day setting
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy goals to support student engagement and communication development
- Collaborate remotely with staff to ensure seamless integration of therapy services within a specialized educational model
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy, preferably with teletherapy or virtual service delivery
- Background working with adolescent students in educational or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with Ohio Department of Education (ODE) requirements and standards
- Ability to work flexibly to meet therapy needs while accommodating partial-day program structure
