SLP in Tehachapi, CA

This contract position centers on delivering speech therapy services to a caseload of approximately 60 students, ranging from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th Grade. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to foster student success and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- At least one year of experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload with students varying from General Education to Moderate/Severe needs
- Proficient in completing direct therapy, IEP development, and conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- California CTC credential preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide engaging and appropriate speech-language therapy for students across TK-5th grade
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, adjusting services to individual needs and IEPS
- Administer and interpret assessments; participate actively in eligibility determination and reevaluation processes
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs, working with a multidisciplinary team
- Offer consultative support to teachers and families regarding students’ speech and language challenges
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school requirements
