Key Qualifications:
- Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kansas
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Commitment to supporting students’ unique communication needs and collaborating with faculty and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Provide direct therapy sessions to students across varying age groups
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational professionals
- Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute expertise to support individual student progress
