School-Based SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) Job

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Tavares, FL area for the upcoming school year. Blazer Jobs is partnering with local school districts to hire a dedicated and student-focused SLP who is passionate about helping students strengthen communication skills and access their education.
About the Role:
This school-based SLP role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students across a K-12 setting. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized student goals and improve overall communication outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license
- Florida Department of Education certification or eligibility as required
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Job Duties:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Address articulation, fluency, language, and social communication needs
