Qualifications & Ideal Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Valid California SLP licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in an educational or school-based setting
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt and individualize therapy to meet diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy to students, individually and in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and progress updates
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Offer resources and support to caregivers and fellow educators, fostering a positive learning atmosphere
