Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists seeking contract positions in the Virginia Beach area. Engage in a meaningful role supporting students during extended maternity leaves at local elementary and intermediate schools. You’ll focus your expertise on pre-K through 5th grade, with each assignment dedicated to a single campus, ensuring consistent support and relationship-building.
Available placements:
- Norfolk Highlands Primary (PK-3rd): 2/24/27–6/18/27
- Deep Creek Elementary (PK-5th): 3/1/2027–6/18/27
- Western Branch Primary (PK-2nd): 3/8/2027–6/18/2027
- Western Branch Intermediate (3rd-5th): 3/14/2027–6/18/2027
All positions are onsite at one school per assignment, Monday through Friday, 35 hours weekly. No virtual (VOCO) or hybrid options are offered.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying caseload needs
- A commitment to supporting young learners with diverse communication needs
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
- Support students’ academic and social growth through customized intervention strategies
