Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid CCC-SLP certification
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in the state
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the evaluation process for school-aged children
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and education staff
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student learning and progress
- Document assessments, intervention plans, progress reports, and maintain accurate student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing educational planning
- Provide education and resources to classroom staff and caregivers to enhance student support
