Speech-Language Pathologist – School-Based Contract Opportunity
Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL (Southeast Florida Coast)
Assignment Dates: August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Work Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Number of Schools: 1-2 schools per assignment
A contract position is available for qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the upcoming 2026-2027 school year within a public school district on the southeast Florida coast. This role involves providing direct speech-language services to students across one or two school sites, with caseload details to be finalized closer to the start date. The district anticipates filling a minimum of seven vacancies. Candidates with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Certificate of Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) credentials are preferred; agencies able to provide supervision for CF-SLPs are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in school settings.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and state regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and district meetings as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an SLP.
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
- Ability to manage caseloads ranging from early childhood through secondary education.
- Eligibility for fingerprint clearance, with possible use of Department of Health records to expedite credentialing.
