School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Minneapolis, Minnesota
Step into an impactful long-term substitute role as a Speech Language Pathologist, working with students in a supportive, school-based environment near Minneapolis, MN. This contract opportunity spans two distinct assignment windows—late May through early June, and September through December—providing the chance to make a meaningful difference throughout the school year.
In this position, you’ll work a full-time schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), delivering school-based speech services to approximately 25 students on a speech-only caseload. Your efforts will directly support students’ communication goals, ensuring effective speech therapy, accurate evaluation, and compliance with all required documentation and IEP meetings. The role requires seamless coverage across two assignment periods, offering the variety and professional satisfaction of supporting ongoing student success.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Speech Language Pathologist licensure
- CCC-SLP preferred (district dependent)
- Prior experience in a school-based SLP role highly desired
- Proficiency in evaluation, therapy, IEP participation, and documentation
- Strong skills in managing direct services and therapy scheduling
Preferred Experience:
- Background working with elementary and/or secondary school populations
- Familiarity with Minnesota school-based compliance standards
- Ability to adapt quickly to existing caseloads with minimal orientation
