School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Stewartville, Minnesota
Step into an impactful role supporting K-5 students by providing high-quality speech-language pathology services within a school-based setting. This contract opportunity runs from December 14, 2026, to April 30, 2027, offering full-time hours (7:45 am – 3:45 pm) and the satisfaction of guiding student growth during a meaningful portion of the academic year. You will work with approximately 57 elementary students, balancing direct intervention, IEP participation, and paperwork, while also mentoring a Tier 2 SLP at a secondary campus.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent program completion
- Active CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship candidates considered
- Current (or eligible) state licensure for practicing SLP in educational settings
- Previous experience serving school-aged children, especially those in K-5, highly desirable
- Confidence writing and implementing IEPs, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining clear, timely documentation
- Comfort with, or willingness to supervise, less experienced SLP support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to a diverse caseload of K-5 students
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized goals, and provide engaging therapy sessions
- Participate in multidisciplinary IEP meetings, working closely with teachers and families
- Manage due process documentation and ensure compliance with district and state regulations
- Supervise and provide mentorship for a Tier 2 SLP at a secondary campus
