School Speech Pathology | Stevensville, Maryland
Start making a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist serving schools in the region. This contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver in-person, individualized speech and language therapy to students through the 2026-27 school year. As an onsite-only role, you’ll collaborate closely with educators and families in a supportive educational environment, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What You’ll Need:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with special education policies and individualized education plan (IEP) development
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic intervention skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work onsite, starting between 7:00 – 7:30 am and ending between 2:30 – 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted speech and language therapy based on students’ individual needs
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech, voice, and language disorders
- Deliver screenings at routine intervals and specified grade levels
- Guide and consult with teachers regarding the identification and support of students with speech/language concerns
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP requirements and federal/state guidelines
- Offer consultation and inservice education to school staff about speech and language disabilities
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation as required
- Communicate with families about students’ progress and recommended strategies
