Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students at a single school campus
- Conducting evaluations and assessments per district and state guidelines
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth
- Maintaining accurate session notes and documentation in compliance with district protocols
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state of Virginia
- Previous experience working in a school setting strongly preferred
- Understanding of the needs of elementary learners and best practices in speech-language therapy
- Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload within a .5 FTE (part-time) framework
- Compliance with time-sensitive requirements, including completion of a TB test and district-specific background check on-site with HR
This part-time contract (18.75 hours per week) is onsite, allowing you to connect directly with students, staff, and the school community. The caseload is focused at a single elementary location, supporting work-life balance and continuity of care.
