School Speech Language Pathologist - Spotsylvania, VA
Step into a dynamic Speech-Language Pathology role supporting students across K-12 in a vibrant educational setting near Spotsylvania, VA! This full-time contract position covers 37.5 hours per week and focuses on providing essential communication and language support within schools. Whether you are an experienced SLP-CCC or a Clinical Fellow (CF) seeking valuable school experience, you’ll play a critical role in bridging care during maternity leaves for two team members across the academic year.
Current needs include covering one maternity leave beginning late December/early January and concluding at the start of March, as well as a second leave from mid-November through the end of March (spring break). You’ll have the opportunity to discuss and express caseload preferences—let us know if you specialize in elementary, middle, or high school populations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) welcomed, Clinical Fellows considered
- Experience (or strong interest) in serving K-12 student populations in school settings
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain documentation and participate in team meetings, ensuring compliance and student success
