Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong understanding of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within a school environment
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with families and teachers
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school guidelines
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions based on student needs
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports
- Engage and collaborate with educators, special education staff, and parents to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate staff and families on strategies for supporting students’ speech and language development
