Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based
Location: Near Waterboro, ME (South Portland Region)
Grade Levels: Elementary (K-5)
Assignment Type: Part-Time, Contract to Hire
Duration: Current School Year (CSY)

The role focuses on supporting elementary students through direct therapy and comprehensive speech-language services within a vibrant K-12 school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions, with emphasis on AAC device integration
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff
- Maintain accurate progress documentation and speech-language reports using the school district’s special education system (training provided)
- Provide supportive therapy services onsite at 1–2 elementary school campuses
- Travel between sites as needed, with mileage reimbursement available
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Maine SLP license required
- Proven experience working with AAC devices
- Prior school-based experience preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school teams
