Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based | Near Waterboro, ME
A part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a school-based setting near Waterboro, Maine. This role is well-suited for SLP professionals with expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices who enjoy working with elementary-aged students in a nurturing educational environment.
Location: Scarborough, ME (on-site assignment near Waterboro)
Schedule: Part-time
Assignment Duration: Immediate start through the end of the school year
Grade Levels: Elementary
School Sites: 1–2 campuses
Travel: Mileage reimbursement for travel between sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments, evaluations, and provide direct therapy services to students
- Support students utilizing AAC devices with proven experience
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate effectively with school personnel and families
- Manage accurate reporting and documentation of student progress, utilizing the district’s special education documentation system (training provided)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maine Speech Language Pathologist license
- Demonstrated experience with AAC devices
- Preferred school-based SLP experience, including work with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a school multidisciplinary team
