Begin an impactful role supporting students’ success as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational setting. This contract position runs through May 26, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week onsite. As an SLP, you will work directly with students at two locations, providing hands-on therapy and collaboration with educational teams to cultivate communication growth and help students thrive.
Qualifications:
- Current Utah SLP license is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication abilities
- Ability to commit to an onsite schedule (teletherapy is not available for this assignment)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans customized to each student's needs
- Write and maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Serve both Deseret Peak and Tooele High student populations
- Provide both individual and group interventions
- Implement evidence-based practices in a school environment
