Elementary Speech Language Pathologist Job in Indiana
South Bend, IN
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students in a school-based setting near Southbend, Indiana. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders while collaborating with educators, families, and special education teams to support student success. An experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is available to assist with therapy implementation, documentation support, and caseload management, allowing the SLP to focus on evaluations, treatment planning, and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding student needs
- Supervise and collaborate with the assigned SLPA
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Indiana SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply
