Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Communication Disorders required
- Active and valid state SLP license
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with school staff and families
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with all student service requirements
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the school's support services
- Consult with teachers and parents to deliver comprehensive care and maximize student outcomes
Travel SLPs who qualify will enjoy weekly, tax-free stipends for housing and meals, in addition to hourly pay that reflects experience and district placement, with rates ranging from $43.52 to $50.77.
