Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and diagnostics of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that address specific needs
- Collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ progress and integrate therapy into their daily learning
- Providing direct speech-language intervention through individual and group sessions
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services, progress, and required reports
- Participating in IEP meetings and helping guide goals and modifications for students
- Offering resources and strategies to educators and caregivers to enhance communication skills outside of therapy sessions
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Ability to thrive in school settings and connect with children and adolescents
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication ability to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Previous school-based experience is helpful, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
