Qualifications and Required Credentials:

  • Active Texas SLP license or eligibility for Texas licensure
  • SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or comparable SLP credentials
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly beneficial
  • Strong clinical knowledge of assessment and intervention for K-12 populations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to professional ethics and student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services tailored to student needs
  • Document progress and maintain thorough, compliant records
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student achievement
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ speech and language development within the educational team
