School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Scottsdale, Arizona

Step into a rewarding opportunity specializing in pediatric speech-language services within an educational environment, located near Scottsdale, AZ. This is an excellent contract position offering coverage for the full school year, including maternity leave assignments. You’ll work closely with students to support their communication development and collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working within schools, pediatrics, healthcare, or via teletherapy platforms
- Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both with students and colleagues
- Ability to adapt to various caseloads and schedules as school needs evolve
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) focused on student growth
- Deliver direct therapy services, both in-person and remotely when appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary discussions
- Adapt services as necessary to cover maternity leaves and other absences throughout the school year
