Key Qualifications:
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (as issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with documented clinical hours
- Expertise in Assistive Technology, especially with eye gaze and Accent device programming, calibration, and ongoing maintenance
- Experience in evaluating and supporting students in school settings
- Strong organizational skills for managing referral and evaluation processes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site AT support at a local high school for approximately 2 hours a week to one student, addressing device calibration, programming, and direct instruction
- Monitor and maintain the student's device to ensure consistent communication access
- Conduct evaluations for private school referrals
- Complete remote administrative tasks: intake interviews with parents, gathering documentation, overseeing referral paperwork, and coordinating with educational teams
- Ensure timely initiation and follow-up of all student referral processes
