School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time Position
Location: Schenectady, New York
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based opportunity in New York. This position offers the opportunity to work with an elementary school population, serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade in a structured and supportive school environment.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June
- Schedule: 5 days per week, Monday–Friday
- Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
- Daily Sessions: Approximately 9 sessions per day.
- Planning Time: Includes a lunch break and two planning periods.
- Caseload: Dependent on student schedules and service needs.
- Student Population: Elementary school students, Kindergarten–5th grade.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students.
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success.
- Participate in meetings and support students' communication and academic development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a daily therapy schedule while maintaining appropriate documentation.
Pay: $43-$48/hour (negotiable based on experience)
