Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Schenectady, NY

We’re seeking a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to engage young learners from kindergarten through fifth grade. This contract opportunity, based near Schenectady, NY, offers your choice of a full school year (September – June) or a shorter fall assignment (September – November), providing flexibility to fit your professional goals.
You’ll work five days per week, from 7:45am to 2:45pm, collaborating closely with educators and families to provide exceptional care. The daily structure features up to nine therapy sessions, a dedicated lunch break, and two planning periods, with caseloads adjusted according to scheduling needs. Qualifications & Experience:
- Current SLP license and CCC.
- Experience with elementary school-aged children, ideally K–5th.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs.
- Passion for fostering language and speech development in diverse learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to elementary students.
- Evaluate and document student progress; develop targeted treatment plans.
- Support IEP development and attend team meetings as needed.
- Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, support staff, and parents.
- Maintain accurate, timely records for all students on your caseload.
