Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, serving students in a vibrant, school-based setting near Scarborough. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of 20 students, each presenting unique communication abilities and needs. Your expertise will foster progress in students’ language, articulation, voice, fluency, and social communication skills, helping them access the curriculum and thrive within their school community.

Qualifications:

  • Hold current SLP-CCC certification
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Prior school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills
  • Commitment to collaborative team dynamics and student-centered support

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within a K-12 caseload
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ IEP goals
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in small groups
  • Conduct assessments and progress monitoring, keeping thorough records
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and advocating for each student’s needs
  • Offer guidance and training to support staff as appropriate
