This opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide professional therapy services within a school setting located in Paramount, CA. The position is contract-based, full-time, and designed for those passionate about supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role focuses on delivering high-quality SLP services either in person or via teletherapy, with caseloads spread across 1-2 primary school sites and potentially up to 4 sites in total within the Los Angeles area.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensure and certification as an SLP (including SLP-CCC preferred)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy within schools and healthcare environments
- Familiarity with teletherapy modalities highly desirable
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is preferred
- Previous work in K-12 educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and administrators
- SLPA or COTA credentials are not applicable for this role
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students K-12
- Deliver direct therapy services in school settings or via teletherapy following established protocols
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational regulations and program requirements
- Participate in Zoom interviews with the director and program administrator as part of the selection process
