Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Orange City, FL
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving students in a vibrant Florida school district with a supportive team and a strong commitment to fostering communication skills in children and adolescents. Flexible placement options are available across several schools, including both full-time and part-time positions. If you hold an active Florida SLP license and are passionate about school-based therapy, your expertise is needed starting August 4th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellow (CF) applicants considered and provided with supervision
- Valid Florida SLP license
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs and individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain compliance with state and district reporting and documentation requirements
- Support inclusion and positive student outcomes within general and special education settings
- Engage actively in school-based meetings and contribute to student success initiatives
