Pediatric Speech Pathology - San Mateo, CA
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support at an Elementary School site to cover a current vacancy. This contract position is essential for delivering comprehensive speech therapy services to school-age children, ensuring their communication needs are met within an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to elementary students based on IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for speech and language development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide documentation of student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- CCC-SLP certification required.
- Experience working in pediatric speech-language pathology within school settings strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of speech and language development in children and elementary education protocols.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and communicate clearly with students, families, and educators.
- Flexibility to work additional hours for IEP meetings as needed.
Location: San Mateo, CA
Hours of work are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional time required as necessary for attending IEP meetings after school hours.
