Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Fremont, California

As a contract Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll provide expert clinical services while filling a strategic vacancy within a welcoming school community. Your workday will span from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with opportunities for additional hours when IEP meetings are scheduled after school. This assignment begins at the end of January and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active California SLP license, with CCC certification
- Previous experience in pediatric and/or school-based speech-language therapy preferred
- Proficient with assessment, intervention, and documentation in academic settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to elementary students with diverse needs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, create progress reports, and maintain accurate records
- Educate and consult with teachers and caregivers on strategies to support student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student support
- Adapt to scheduling needs, including after-school IEP sessions as required
